Prom T-shirts and Glasses
Please stop by the office to sign up for Project Prom T-shirts & Prom
Glasses. We have a sample hanging in the office if you would like to see
what they look like. New Prom T-shirt info: All Juniors and Seniors get
a free t-shirt, but you must sign up in the office. Any underclassman or
outside dates must purchase a shirt for $10.00 make checks payable to
Project Prom. Prom Glasses $6.00 for a single & $10.00 for the set.
Prom Information and Checklist
1. Project Prom contract both your self and guest must have a contract
signed and turned in before prom. 2. Sign up for T-shirts (jr/sr free,
guest $10.00) 3. Order Prom glasses ($6.00 each or $10.00 set). 4. Sign
up and Pay for outside and/or underclassman guests ($5.00) 5. Pick up
Picture order form. 6. Pay for Class dues and/or Magazine Sale monies
(these must be paid before going to Prom) Stop by the office to pick up
forms and sign up for any of the above items.

Congratulations
to the Activity Periods of Mr. Kinderknecht and Mr. Simmons! Both had
100% of their rosters at 100% of their AR goal for 3rd quarter!
Impressive! Also, Congrats to Mr. Stecklein's Junior High AP! They had
the highest AR percentage in the Junior High with all students except
one reaching 100% of their goal! Wow!

March 24th, April 13th and May 4th. If you are interested in visiting

Kansas Future Teacher Academy
Will be held at two locations/ June 13-18 at Emporia State University
and June 6-12 at Dodge City Community College. This is for sophomores
and juniors that demonstrate academic scholarship, leadership skills,
and interest in professional education. Participants will attend a
variety of workshops on leadership and self-improvement and participate
in activities that will help them better understand what teachers do.
Those selected to participate will pay a $50 fee for the ESU site and
$100 for the DCCC site. For more information go to

Kansas Junior Golf Scholarship
The Kansas Golf Foundation will award five scholarships...this is an
academic scholarship, but in order to be eligible, a student must have
participated in junior golf activities, including high school golf.
Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors based on academic
performance, leadership, a written essay and financial need. The grant
is $1250 and is renewable for up to four years. Recipients must attend a
Kansas college or university, including community colleges. Applications

Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors Scholarship
awards up to 4 annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000...For
students attending a vocational/technical school, and pursuing a
certificate or associates degree in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment
Repair. Recipients will be chosen based on their interest in entering
one of these fields of study. To remain eligible the recipient must be
enrolled full-time starting the fall semester of 2010. Once a student
has completed the first year of school, they may reapply for the
scholarship for their second year. The applicant must be in good
academic standings with a minimum high school GPA of 2.5. DEADLINE:
March 15, 2010. Applications are outside Mrs. Hurla's office.
Dillenkiffer Endowment Scholarship
offers college tuition grants to gay, lesbian, bisexual and
transgendered high school seniors who have at least a 2.75 GPA and can
demonstrate how they have made a difference through community
involvement and school activities. Applications are due by March 15th
and can be found at www.dillenkoffer.org
BigSun Scholarship
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young
athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual
scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible
for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.
Deadline- June 24, 2010. Amount of Award-$500.00. The successful
applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary
institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in

Three $500 Scholarships to any undergraduate student attending an

Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials' Association Scholarship
For students majoring in Journalism, Political Science, or
Communications that have a 3.0 high school cumulative GPA. 10
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each. Applications

AES Scholarship
The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its
support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving
students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be
the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that
reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis

Steve Harper Scholarship
$1,000 scholarship for Kansas high school seniors who will be attending
a Kansas college and majoring in either a natural resources or
photography curriculum. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of past or

ABWA Career Chapter Scholarship. Each year the ABWA chapter of Topeka
awards academic scholarships to female students who attend Washburn
University. Eligibility qualifications are as follows: á Female á

Two $500 Scholarships to incoming freshmen for the Fall 2010 semester.

Chapter HX P.E.O. Scholarship
Awards $500 to a St. Marys High School Senior Girl with a “B” Average,
who plans to further her education in some way. Applications need to be
completed and returned to Mrs. Hurla by March 22nd. If you did not have
