Special Education programs are available in USD #321 in the following areas:

 

  • Autism

  • Speech & Language Impairments

  • Visual Impairment

  • Orthopedic Impairment

  • Hearing Impairment

  • Learning Disability

  • Multiple Disability

  • Infant-Toddler (Birth to age 2)

  • Emotional Disturbance

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Developmentally Delayed

  • Early Childhood Disability (3-6)

  • Intellectual Giftedness

  • Mental Retardation

  • Other Health Impairment

 

Parents are advised that all special education services are designed to offer the utmost in educational opportunities for each qualifying student as well as to provide assistance and support in the areas of physical, mental, emotional, and social growth.  State and federal laws are followed in providing each student with a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.  

 

Support services include school psychologist, counselors, audiologist, occupational therapist and physical therapist.  All special programs are tied to regular classroom instruction if possible. If you have any questions about these programs, call the principal or the Director of Special Education.
