The botany students dissected flowers to examine all of the structures in a flower. They examined the pollen grains under a microscope.

St. Marys Junior High Track!


The anatomy students have been studying the composition and function of blood. Today, they did a blood typing lab using simulated/fake blood.



HOSA members were able to learn phlebotomy techniques for a routine venipuncture from Jenn Castenada, phlebotomy supervisor out of Manhattan Via Christi. What a fantastic real-world experience!


We are proud to announce Maddy Michaelis as the new head volleyball coach at St. Marys High School. Maddy played three years of college volleyball at Emporia State, and has three years of coaching experience. She will do a fantastic job of leading the Lady Bears!

Several students from St. Marys competed in the Job Olympics. They competed at K-State against 14 high schools. There are 31 different work simulations to demonstrate work skills.

Today, the botany students practiced identifying trees by their leaves using dichotomous keys.



The botany students prepared their own slides of the stomata (pores) on the surface of leaves using clear nail polish and tape.
