2nd and third graders traveled to Topeka Civic Center to see the play Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. The students were able to get a backstage tour and they all received the book Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus as well. Third grader, Alissa's, aunt Melissa was in the play as the pigeon!

Due to the threat of severe weather, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony. The event will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 6:00 PM.
This decision was not made lightly, but the safety of our students, families and staff is always our top priority.

Thank you to the SMGS Booster Club for spoiling our teachers today in the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers got to treat themselves to some snacks and a flower bar where they could build their own bouquet. SMGS has the best teachers and we love getting to celebrate them!
Congratulations to Miss Hannah and Mr. Brody for getting Pawsitive calls home today! Mrs. Hammersmith reported that both Hannah and Brody's Benchmark scores are OFF THE CHARTS compared to the fall. What an accomplishment and a great way to end your year! Go bears!!
