Kindergarten shared the Easter spirit and paid a visit to our wonderful neighbors to the north, The Manor. Students enjoyed visiting with all of the residents and followed up with an egg hunt!

Winners of the Fundraiser University fundraising challenge enjoyed an afternoon of jumping and refreshments at the trampoline park with Mr. Medley!

SMGS showed our paras some love by starting their day off right with some drinks from Brickhouse Nutrition. Tomorrow is para Appreciation Day, but we love to celebrate our paras all week long! Thankful for all they do and the support they provide!

Yippee Lee!! Lee made a Pawsitive call home today. Mrs. Shobney reports that Lee returned from spring break READY for school. He has made incredible progress in speech, reading , and making positive choices all week long! Way to go Lee!

SMGS had a kick of assembly for state assessments where we welcomed Terry the Magician. Mr. Terry had a bunch of fun tricks to show the kids while emphasizing the importance of practice, focus, and giving your best effort. There were a bunch of laughs, gasps, and some great assistants throughout the entire performance!

USD 321 5th graders and their families are invited to our second annual Donut Dash. Students met outdoors this afternoon to hear about the free t-shirts, great prizes, and more that make this a DONUT MISS EVENT! Pictured below is a flyer with everything you need to know, plus a picture of today’s Donut Dash winners. Registration ends April 6.

We celebrated the color pink at Play Cafe today. We loved having Ms. Michaela’s preschoolers as our guests. We learned that pink is for everybody, unless… you don’t like pink.😉🫢😊

Shout out to Vincent for making a Pawsitive Call home today! Vincent finished an assignment and saw one of his classmates struggling with their work. He then chose to help them and patiently made sure the classmate understood what was required. Awesome job Vincent!

Q3 Attendance

SMGS had a productive morning with some PD led by Diane Kinsey. Diane is a retired math teacher who now devotes her time providing PD to schools who want to target math intervention and building math thinkers…not just math learners. Our teachers took away great information, resources, and fun things to try in our classrooms to build math fluency and get kids hands on with math tools and manipulatives to make learning more applicable to their everyday lives.

Check out the SMGS watch parties as they cheered on the Basketball Bears to a VICTORY and advancement to the next round. GO BEARS!!

Shout out to Transportation Director, Caleb Ubel, and his amazing transportation team for coming up with creative ways to cover all transportation needs across the district today! He had great communication, teamwork, and even a smile on his face driving the bus to make it all come together!

Trevyn and Elena were the first two students in Mrs. Stallbaumers class to master their multiplication facts!!! They were rewarded with their donuts this morning!! Way to go!!
