Mrs. Sumner visited with SMGS third graders about the Potawatomi Indians. The Potawatomi Indians are plains Indians who are native to our community. Students got to hold parts of a buffalo and discuss how the buffalo was vital to their survival. She also helped us build our own teepees which were common in many Indian tribes, but not the plains Indian tribes.
