Summer Meal Schedule

We are thankful for the support of the SMGS Booster Club and Bear Backers who helped us out with Field Day! SMGS Booster Club rented the inflatable, and Bear Backers helped fund Kona Ice for our students and staff! Thank you for always making Field Day a day to remember!

Mrs. Devany's kindergarten and first grade students have been working hard on their goals this year. To top off a successful year for them, they've done a fabulous job of showing off their skills through their story walk and we want to share! To spice the story up, each student chose a movement for the reader to do while reading that page!

KSNT May Teacher of the Month

SMGS got to celebrate a very special teacher today, Mrs. Aubert. Mrs. Aubert was nominated and selected as the KSNT May Teacher of the Month. The entire school got to be part of the celebration as she was awarded special recognition and a check from Laird Noller! We are so proud of Mrs. Aubert, and all that she does for her students and our school! Be on the lookout for her recognition and interview on KSNT News. Her segment will air on Thursday, May 28th!

4th, 5th, and 6th grade Science Fair

We are very proud of our students and all their hard work during the state assessments. 3rd -6th graders took standardized tests in both ELA & Math, with 5th grade also taking a science test. All their hard work paid off and we are so excited for them and our teachers and staff who have worked hard all year long. Way to go SMGS!

Third Grade for their end of the year Social Studies/Math Project was called Market Day. The students decided on a product or products to sell and either worked as partners, or alone. They had to price their items and advertise. The students had a blast with this project. We discussed after they were done selling, what we could have done differently. Did their items sell like they thought they would etc.

1st and 2nd graders hit Science City!!

Happy School Lunch Hero day to our Lunch Heroes: Alice, Regina, Sylvia and Marlene (not pictured). They always make sure our students needs are met during mealtime. A shout out to Christy's Country Kitchen for serving up some personal pizzas.

Time to let off some steam and enjoy finishing up state assessments!! Mr. Medley played the Carnival Ringmaster with multiple activities for students to play. Mr. Hare, SMHS art teacher, and his students helped out with face painting. Great job to our amazing students who work and make all of us proud every day!
